Around 400 members-companies Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (NAFEA) is the association of manpower agencies in Nepal dealing with overseas employment for Nepalese workers, Established in 1992 and registered with the Ministry of Labor, His majesty’s government of Nepal, this association is well organized, financially sound and highly acclaimed for the role it has been playing in the promotion of overseas employment.
Objectives
The main objectives of this association are to seek and arrange to legally provide employment opportunities to various categories of labor force and professional personnel in overseas countries. NAFEA makes all efforts to keep in touch with workers on employment abroad until they return home in order to monitor and ensure that they are doing their duties in manner befitting the hardworking and loyal Nepalese. IN some cased NAFEA arrange transfer of Nepalese workers from their country of work to other countries on termination of their contract with the co0mapny.The association also ensures that all workers are insured and that in cases of serious injuries or death while at work abroad, the workers or and their families are adequately compensated. NAFEA also is quite aware of occasional illegal activities undertaken by some individuals and by even some agencies in the name of overseas employment and make all effort to discourage such unlawful dealing that can be harmful to the workers. The association takes steps to control corruption and labor exploitation and for the significant role played by the association, their role is appreciated and highlighted by many popular national newspapers and magazines from time to time.
